Argentina and MUG

Argentinean Dossier as written by MUG

Not to pull a Latina version of the recent Gwyneth faux pas, but it is no secret that I love Argentina and all things Argentine. And it turns out I am not alone. MUG -- tops on my list for smart daily reads -- shares my love. Check out their Argentinean Dossier for a review of Argentine hot spots in the city.

And here comes a teaser……be sure to check back into to Casa Naranja later this week for our ultimate gift giving guide.

ART

A noteworthy group of Argentinean artists have work on exhibit at the Consulate General of Argentina, 12 W. 56th [5th/6th] that leads up to an event this week. On Wednesday at the Consulate, 6pm-9:30pm, an evening of art, wine, and a silent auction. Tickets are $20. Auction items will include a trip to Buenos Aires, Catena and other wines, and Proenza Schouler clothing. The artwork has been donated by the artists and all proceeds will go to artist scholarships at ProyectArte, a NYC-based nonprofit that, among other things, helps educate and develop promising teenage artists at its school in Buenos Aires. You can see the auction catalogue here.
